One bedroom furnished cottages to rent: Tips to make your living arrangement work for you

Over the past few years, one bedroom furnished cottages have become one of the most popular types of accommodation for locals and tourists. Whether you’re moving to Johannesburg, looking for a place to stay while you take care of your business priorities or simply want a getaway spot that isn’t a hotel or guesthouse, this is a great place to book your stay.

If you’re considering booking a one bedroom furnished cottage, here are a few tips to make your stay even more comfortable:

Ask for your own gate remote

At Moonflower Cottages, we give each guest their own gate remote so that they can come and go as they please, but this isn’t the case at other establishments. Ask the owner whether you can have your gate remote or else you will be stuck calling (and potentially waking) somebody to open the gate for you. This is inconvenient because you don’t always know what time you’re going to be coming home from dinner or a meeting and it’s better to have complete autonomy wherever you are living.

Make sure you’re close to where you need to be

One bedroom furnished apartments are often located on the outskirts of the city, which is fine if you’re booking a romantic weekend getaway but not ideal if you need to be in Sandton, the CBD or other business areas in Johannesburg each day for meetings. Make sure you’re conveniently located to major highways and neighbourhoods to make getting from A to B easy and comfortable.

Moonflower Cottages are equipped with all the facilities you will need during your stay. For more information about our one bedroom furnished cottages to rent, contact us today.
